Chasing Life: The Journal is Finally Here!
I wrote most of my book Chasing Lie: Lessons on Suffering Well while I was in South Korea. At the time, I was writing everyday as if I was journaling because I needed an outlet for everything I was feeling and couldn't yet share openly with others. In all honesty, writing Chasing Life became part of my emotional healing process in learning the art of suffering well. Of course, even after completing and publishing the book, I have found myself a sort of never-ending process where the more I learn, the more I need to learn. One thing is clear though, There are valuable lessons to be learned when good things happen as well as when bad things happen. This journey could literally take a lifetime!
I don't have to tell you what a great asset owning a journal can become to you whether you suffer, or even as you discover new things about yourself. With that in mind, I have put together a resource that serves asa helpful companion to Chasing Life, or as a stand alone tool to encourage vulnerability, openness, healing, and an aid to repair old wounds and brokenness -I believe the prompts in this journal will help with that.
You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.
C.S. Lewis
The composition of the journal is meant to encourage freedom of expression in various forms of art like writing, drawing, sketching, painting, calligraphy, scrapbooking and/or mix media. The best part is, you do not have to be a professional artist to own one. Each section provides an opportunity for you to say what you want and need to say in an y way or form imaginable.
My hope is that while releasing thoughts and inner truths on paper, you will find the courage to talk about those things you never felt comfortable talking about out loud. And as a result, I pray your evil find your voice and peace amid this difficult thing we call life.
